"Batida is a project created between Lisbon and Luanda. Portugal and Angola.
A clash between urban and traditional culture. Between my past and actual condition, living in the suburbs of Lisbon and going back to Africa everytime i have the money to.Batida involves, music, words, video, dance, artfacts and social interv...ention with no political agenda.
In Tam Tam from Luanda, i will bring a minimal and intimate version
of the project featuring my favourite mc and dancer with me, to make you move your hips like a Mwangolé. The music will be around Batida´s debut album, and I will be playing with samples, beats and effects on a more private show than i usually do.“
